And now, the latest news briefs in Baja Real Estate News: Cabo Entertainment Center Breaks Ground!The long-awaited entertainment center for Cabo San Lucas, an adult-oriented theme park, recently broke ground. Phase One should be open by March 2006. It will feature an amphitheater with 300 seats, a few five-star adult clubs, numerous upscale boutiques, a spa and relaxation center, and a food court. Phase Two will feature a swinger's time share hotel. Joint Venture under study for 'self-sustaining healing communityBajaMex Realty has been in contact with a prominent group for the U.S., the Earth Collective, for the study of a joint venture to develop in Baja California a "self-sustaining model ecologically balanced healing community serving as a global model." TEC will advance projects, organizations, businesses, technologies, methodologies and other creative endeavors which can assist in this bold vision of planetary healing" Baja California Sur officials asking Alaska Airlines to returnA group of Baja California Sur state government officials and leaders of the La Paz hotel owners association travelled to Seattle to meet with representatives of Alaska Airlines to encourage the airline to resume flights between Los Angeles and La Paz. The group also visited with cruise line officials in Seattle to drum up more cruise ship traffic into the small port. Four-line highway planned between Cabo and La PazEngineering studies are underway now in the Mexican Federal government's project to expand the highway between Cabo San Lucas and La Paz into a four-lane thoroughfare. Initial studies are expected to be completed by summer 2006, and the highway should be completed within five years.
