New beach development on Pacific side of Baja

Mardian Ranch in Arizona have announced their new development in Baja called Magdalena Beaches, located on the Pacific side of the Baja Peninsula approximately 110km north of La Paz. Magdalena Beaches is 59,490 hectares (147,000 acres) with 41.9 kilometers of beach front. This ambitious development is to include a Resort & Marina Village, an Eco-Mangrove Village and a New Town Village among many other amenities.

New highway to connect Los Cabos Airport with East Cape

Narciso Agundez, governor of Baja California Sur, announced that the highway connecting the Los Cabos International airport with the East Cape will begin in approximately three months. The highway will be 43km in length and has an estimated cost of 500 million pesos. Investors in this highway will be the Spanish groups Gran Coral, headed by its CEO Juan M. Ferri, who is developing Coral Baja on the East Cape and Juan Rafael Galeana, General Manager of GRE Hansa, who is developing Cabo Cortes.

First closings for Hacienda Cabo San Lucas

Hacienda Cabo San Lucas, co-developed by Don Koll and Starwood Capital Group, headed by CEO Barry S. Sternlich, is signing the first closings during the second week of February. Much of the speculation that surrounded this development during construction of its first phase can now be put to rest as they are now successfully transferring title to their many investors. Rene Gonzalez, from International Land Title is coordinating the issuance of title insurance for Hacienda.

Local blog challenges service providers to be 'more friendly'

Young web-entrepreneur David Tonche keeps making headway among service providers in Los Cabos in an effort to change our service habits for friendlier ways of attending our visiting tourist and clients, his web-blog www.loscabosfriendly.com (in Spanish) is his platform for his endeavor. Medano Beach condos near completion

Developer Chris Erickson is near completion of his new condominium tower Bayview Suites, 24 units on Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas. Bayview Suites, which is part of the Cabo Villas Resort, delivered its first units during December 2008. These condominiums are a top of the line product with unobstructed views of the Cabo San Lucas bay.
